The laser creates multiple micro thermal injuries to resurface the skin and remove pre-cancerous lesions. It allows resurfacing of the outer layers of the skin along with rejuvenation of the underlying structures. It is particularly useful for treating pre-cancerous lesions on the lip called actinic chelitis.
